Dialogue and Scenes

First scene:
Mom, Dad, and Nina standing in the living room
Mom calling out to Bobby
Mom: “Bobby! Get your Mask. We are going to be late to see Dr. Dee”
Bobby: “Coming Mom! Why do I have to wear this stupid thing anyway?”
Mom: “Let’s ask Dr. Dee when we see her?”
They both walk towards the door
Dad and Nina: “Have a safe trip guys”
Mom and Bobby waves Goodbye

Second Scene:
Mom and Bobby get into the car
Bobby: So, Mom why do I have to wear a mask every time I go out?
Mom: Masks help us keep each other safe. The corona virus spreads easily so, we all have to wear masks and stand away from each other”
Bobby: So, if I wear my mask Nina and Dad won’t get sick?”
Mom: “It will help protect them from the virus”
Bobby: “Okay, I will wear my mask and stand away from people.”
Mom: “Great, Bobby!”

Mom and Bobby go into hospital waiting area

Third Scene:
Bobby pacing in the waiting room
Bobby: “Mommy I don’t feel too good”
Mom: “What’s the matter Bobby?”
(Bobby shows signs of anxiety) Bobby: “I haven’t been sleeping properly and keep waking up in the nighttime from bad dreams. I also keep worrying about everything and have bad thoughts. My tummy aches and i don’t feel too well.”
Mom: “That’s why we are going to see Dr. Dee. She will know what is wrong with you and help you.”
Bobby: “Okay mom. I hope Dr. Dee can help fix me.”

Fourth Scene:
(Dr. Dee calls Bobby and he goes to the room with his mum)
Dr. Dee: “Look who is here” Dr Dee says excitedly
Bobby: “Hi, Dr Dee”, Bobby says sadly
Dr. Dee looks up to his Bobby’s mum
Mom: “Hy Dr Dee, Bobby has been having nightmares and he hasn’t been eating well. I also noticed that he finds it hard to concentrate in class”
Dr Dee: “Hy Bobby ” Dr Dee says softly, “ is that how you’ve been feeling?”
Bobby: “Yes, Mum doesn’t like when I don’t eat and I want to make her happy”
Dr. Dee: “So Bobby the feelings you’re feeling are called anxiety”.
Bobby: “What is anxiety?” Bobby scrunches his face
Dr Dee: “Anxiety is when we feel nervous or we are afraid and unable to calm down. Sometimes, your heart could be beating very fast or you start sweating alot.”
Bobby: “Ohhh, I get that sometimes.”
Dr Dee: “Yes. We often become anxious when things from the outside scare us. Do you know what could be scaring you?”
Bobby: “Well I don’t really know. It’s just that I wish I could see my friends more”
Dr.Dee: “ I understand Bobby, but because of the Coronavirus we need to stay careful. Would you like me to show you a technique to calm yourself down?”
Bobby: “Yes”, he says excitedly
Dr.Dee: “This is called the 444 Breathing method. All you have to do is inhale with your nose for 4 seconds. Then once you inhale hold your breath for 4 more seconds. Then exhale out of your mouth for 4 seconds and repeat that until you feel yourself calming down.” Bobby tries the method
Dr Dee: “Perfect, Now you can teach this to anyone in your family to calm themselves down.”
Bobby: “Thank you Dr Dee!!”, he lunges forward to hug Dr Dee. “I can’t wait to show Nina what I learned”
Dr Dee: “Oh yes, you do that.”
Mom: “Thank you Dr Dee. We will see you on his next appointment. Stay Safe”
Dr Dee: “And you too!”

Fifth Scene:
(Bobby tells Dad and Nina about methods to help with anxiety and they all try it together)
Bobby runs inside
Bobby: “Nina! Nina!! Nina!!!”
Nina: “Whattttttt!!!!!!!, why are you shouting so loud?”
Bobby: “I have something to show you”
Nina: “candy?” She says excitedly
Bobby: “No, Dr Dee showed me what i can do anytime I feel nervous and can not calm down”
Nina: “what?”
Bobby shows Nina the 444 breathing method
Dad: “Hey kids, what are you doing?”
Bobby explains to his dad and shows him the 444 breathing method

Later that night, the whole family gathered to do the 444 method together.
They live happily ever after… The End.
